History Fair

In order to hone research and analytical skills, students in Period 1 and 5 Advanced classes developed various unique projects focusing on this year's National History Day theme of "Triumph and Tragedy in History."  Students worked individually or in a group and used the project guidelines from NHD and the Broward School District.

Exhibit

Like a museum exhibit, the premise of this project is to enhance students' visual and verbal interpretation of a historical topic.

Website

For some students, developing a website is the best way to organize research findings and record analysis of the historical topic.  The website project is very flexible, which is suitable to include varying media tools, such as pictures, videos, and documents.

Historical Paper

The historical paper project is a traditional form or presenting a research.  Students are given opportunities to present the research in various types of creative writing.

Performance

The performance project is a dramatic portrayal of research and the historical topic.  Students produce an original play demonstrating the interpretation of the historical analysis.

Gallery Walk- Exhibit Peer Evaluations

Students in Period 3, 4, and 6 used the peer-evaluation tool below to evaluate and analyze the exhibits in class.
